What's this?

This is a ToxiPlays project, merging direct-to-consumer music distribution with gacha game mechanics.

Why?

Boredom. Plus, it's a fun coding challenge.

How?

Buy a pull, click on the blurry song titles, click again to listen to 'em. It's that bloody simple.
If you meant the technical process, check out my blog post.

What's the rarities mean?

Glad you asked! There's an actual system behind this.

• Common tracks have already been released to the public and are available elsewhere right now.
• Uncommon tracks are unheard variants of songs that are released. Think: covers, remixes, demos, etc.
• Rare tracks have been taken down from public platforms. If you pull them, you'll get them again in original quality.
• Legendary tracks have never released before—they are exclusively available via a lucky Loottox pull.

What's the catch?

You can stream the songs you pull through here... and that's it. But I did try my hardest to make it a pleasant streaming experience! You can download three songs for offline listening for one hour after purchase. Download rights are not granted for a Basic pull, because I need to make money somehow.

And the legality of it all?

You may share select songs with other people directly that you've downloaded from your pulls. I don't mind! Just don't publish them. The songs offered here are offered for private use only. You are not permitted to reupload songs that Loottox grants you access to, or to otherwise exploit them, commercially or not. This is still my copyrighted material and I won't hesitate to remind people about that. Please do not ruin this for me :(

Toxadil LLC grants you a non-exclusive license to use the Music provided through the Service for download (if permitted by the Software) and for unlimited streaming for a 12-hour period after purchase. After the 12 hours are up, access to the Music is terminated, and the User is no longer permitted to access the Music—unless they have downloaded the file, then they may continue to enjoy the Music as long as they keep it. We reserve the right to protect our copyrights to any means necessary, including by issuing takedown requests, blacklisting users from the Service, and more.

Okay, but what about my sensitive payment info?

Right. Loottox process payments with Stripe. You'll want to consult their Privacy Policy. All in all, I don't get any crazy information from you or from Stripe. All Stripe gives us is an OK to authorize Standard/Ultra pulls. Truuuuust me...

What's your return/refund policy?

I can't easily un-give you access to the song. Once you've heard it, you've heard it. Thereby, all sales are final, unless you can prove that a replicatable issue with the Software prevented you from getting your money's worth. If that's the case and you would like a refund, contact me.

Please note that Stripe takes a cut of all earnings made from the Software. By purchasing a Loottox pull, you accept that this cut may not be returned to you in the event that your refund request is authorized. That money is unrecoverable by me and is out of my reach as far as refunds go.

Who even are you?

I'm Toxi, a web programmer and independent musician. This is my blog, this is my Twitter, and this is my Bandcamp. If you like streaming music, search up ToxiPlays. I guarantee I'm on your streaming service, no matter how niche.

How do I contact you?

For things relating to programming, I'd rather you hit up my Twitter. If it's music-related, then boy, do I have an email inbox for you!
